How this world time list works
This world time page uses the browser’s built-in time zone database (Intl.DateTimeFormat)
to show live local time for each country. For each country (for example
South Korea,
United States, or
Germany), we select the main official
time zone – usually the capital city – and calculate the current local time and UTC offset from that zone.
The list is fully client-side and updates automatically every second, so you always see a moving clock without needing to refresh the page. You can filter by region and use the search box to jump to any country instantly.
Combined with the main country directory and our international dialing tool, this gives you a complete view of time zones + country codes + phone codes in one ecosystem.
Typical use cases
- International calling: check the local time in your customer’s country before dialing, and make sure you are not calling at night.
- Remote teamwork: see at a glance what time it is for colleagues in Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania to find overlapping working hours.
- Export business & sourcing: manufacturers in China or Vietnam can plan calls with buyers in UK, France, or Brazil more efficiently.
- Travel & time difference planning: compare your home country’s time with your destination to understand jet lag and arrival time.
World time FAQ
Why does each country only show one time?
Many countries have multiple time zones. For clarity and speed, this tool shows one main time per country, usually based on the capital city or the most widely used national time. For detailed city-by-city time zones, you can combine this page with country-specific tools or local time services.
Does the clock handle daylight-saving time (DST)?
Yes. All times are calculated with the browser’s official time zone database, which includes DST rules for most countries. When DST starts or ends in a region (such as Europe or North America), the UTC offset and local time will automatically adjust.
Can I search by ISO code or dialing code?
Yes. The search box accepts country names (Japan), ISO-2 (JP), ISO-3 (JPN), and phone codes (+81, +44, +82, etc.). This makes it consistent with the country list page on CountryCode.online.
